Arts & Crafts Festival
Established in 1964 – the Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival is one of Washington State’s oldest, continuously run festivals. The Festival is renowned for its primary focus on quality arts and crafts, handmade by artisans from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The historic town of Coupeville is located on Penn Cove, Central Whidbey Island, WA. Shoppers, vendors and visitors will all be charmed by the waterfront views.
Penn Cove Mussel Festival
Once a year a part of Whidbey Island goes happily nuts--for mussels! Not the kind you flex--the kind you eat. Mussel Farm, micro brews, wines, incredible mussel chowders to taste, free shuttle, truly quaint waterfront, mingle, live bands......wonderful way to spend the day!
Penn Cover Water Festival
The Penn Cove Water Festival features annual tribal canoe races, Native arts and crafts, demonstrations, storytelling, dance performances, artist demonstrations, authentic Native foods, children's activities, and exhibits and displays.
Whidbey Island Race Week
In July Whidbey Island Race Week brings participants and viewers from all over the country. It is open to all one-design keelboats. The regatta offers five days of the most competitive racing in the Northwest. Awards are presented nightly followed by live music. Volleyball, golf and reggae night are all part of the celebration. The racing fleet consists of nearly 200 boats with approximately 1500 enthusiastic racers and guests. Call 206-286-1004 for more information.
Coupeville’s Concerts on the Cove sponsors a series of outdoor concerts throughout the spring, summer and fall, which feature a variety of music styles and a wide range of musicians and bands. 360-678-5434

Planning Ahead: Venues & Accommodations What makes Coupeville and Central Whidbey a distinctive location for dream weddings can also present inherent challenges.    Lodging for Guests, as well as venue space and Churches are important to arrange well in advance. (Twelve months ahead is strongly advised, depending on the size of your wedding and time of year you wish to have it.) Many couples visit the island during that time to meet vendors and get a sense of the venues and accommodation options available. (See the Where To Stay & Events section on the website to get an idea of accommodations…
